Patrick Kluivert could be set to replace Quique Setien in the Barcelona dugout.
The current Barcelona coach’s position is anything but secure after failing to win LaLiga Santander.
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans are considering replacing Setien with Kluivert, who is the club’s academy director.
The publication claims that the Barcelona squad see Kluivert as a good replacement as he is well acquainted with how the Blaugrana should be playing.
If Kluivert were to take over, it would not be his first experience in the dugout, having been the assistant coach at NEC Nijmegen in 2009, and the Twente U21 boss the following year.
For 29 games, he worked alongside former Barcelona coach Louis van Gaal with the Netherlands national team, when they managed third place at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, before he took the leap as head coach of the Curacao national team.
