CT Man Xire Wilson ID'd As Victim In Friday Lebanon Fatal Big-Rig Crash

NEW LONDON COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Xire Wilson of Windsor, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Friday afternoon fatal vehicle crash in New London County.

Wilson, 27, was killed in a single-semi-truck crash near Lebanon on Friday.

According to reports, Wilson was operating a big-rig on Route 2 near Camp Mooween Road in Lebanon, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1 p.m. Friday. The truck then made contact with a guardrail before careening off the overpass.

Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
